How We Work – What To Expect From Your Staywarm Energy Home Improvements Journey

At Staywarm Energy, we pride ourselves on being honest and open, and on giving you the best customer service we possibly can. We offer a fully managed service right from the start – from the initial design of your home improvements to the finishing touches once they have been fitted.

1. Your Free Home Consultation

Your first port of call with Staywarm Energy is to book your free, no obligation home consultation appointment. One of our lovely advisors will come out to your home free of charge, to assess the energy efficiency of your home and provide our recommendations, as well as surveying anything specific you would like us to look at. The report you receive is yours to keep, and doesn’t tie you in to working with us (although we would love it if you did!).

On the home consultation, our expert advisors will take you through our wide range of options which complement your home whilst meeting your needs for energy efficiency and security.

2. An Honest Price Right From The Start

We believe in giving you an honest price right from the start, so we will always come out to visit your property rather than giving prices over the phone. We will provide you with a clear breakdown of the cost of your home improvements and any building work required. We will explain all the additional costs that may arise such as scaffolding, which may be required to keep you and your property safe while our teams work.

3. Technical Survey Appointment

The next stage in your Staywarm Energy Home Improvements journey is for one of our qualified surveyors to visit your home to complete a detailed technical survey and ensure all measurements are correct before your order goes into manufacture. They will talk through any technical issues or concerns you may have and will assess how the work will be carried out safely.

Our highly experienced surveyors will also carry out a risk assessment, and build in any safety features needed before or during the installation. Staywarm Energy is Fair Trades Approved for your peace of mind. See our Accreditations.

4. Building Regulation and Local Authority Checks

All replacement windows and doors and other home improvements need to comply with Building Regulations – we’ll handle that for you! All installations must also be registered with your local council – we’ll handle that for you too! As a FENSA Approved Installer, we handle these things for you as standard. We will also give you a FENSA certificate, as proof of both of these elements of compliance.

5. Manufacturing

Once we are sure we’ve got everything just right, we’ll send off your order to be manufactured. We use local partners, so that everything is manufactured in our home county of Lancashire. We’ll keep you updated with the status of your order, and make sure we’ve got the finer details perfect for you.

Using local partners is just one of the things we do at Staywarm Energy to reduce our carbon footprint! We have been recycling the glass that we take away from our customers’ houses for over 10 years! In 2021, we joined the FENSA recycling scheme for used uPVC frames as well.

In both of our recycling schemes, the used materials we take away from customers’ houses are recycled into new building materials, working towards a circular economy model for construction.

We also pass on the savings from our local partnerships and recycling schemes to you, our lovely customers!

6. Your Installation Appointment

When the day for your installation comes, our highly experienced engineers will come to fit your new Staywarm Energy Home Improvements. Our engineers are the pride of our team! With a combined 60+ years of experience and a wealth of knowledge in glazing, joinery and carpentry, our engineers always get great feedback from our lovely customers.

7. Guarantees and Aftercare

All of the work we do at Staywarm Energy comes with a minimum 10 Year Insurance Backed Guarantee as standard! If we are installing our signature Maxitherm Insulated Glass Units in uPVC frames, the glazing comes with a Lifetime Guarantee! Read more about our extensive range of Guarantees.

Our service doesn’t stop there! When you place an order with Staywarm Energy, you become part of the family, and family looks after its own. So a few months after your installation is complete, we’ll give you a call to book in your free aftercare appointment. Your advisor will return to your property to ensure that your energy efficient home improvements are working as they should do.

We use all of our own staff (no subcontractors), so if we ever do need to return to your home to fix any issues, we can get the same installation team straight out to you – they’ll know everything about the installation, so there’s no need to explain things again!
