The old timber patio doors at this property in Preston, Lancashire were causing a real problem. The timber had split and warped over time, causing large gaps that allowed spiders, wasps and other bugs to crawl inside from the garden… as well as being hard to open, draughty and a bit of an eyesore.
We installed lovely new uPVC French doors which are virtually maintenance free! The frames merely need a wipe down with warm soapy water, and our Maxitherm glazing comes with a Pilkington Activ coating on the outside, which works with sunlight and rainwater to keep the glass lovely and clean.

Thank you for the wonderful job you did on my windows and doors. My old windows had black mould all over them and streamed with condensation, but the new ones are absolutely beautiful. It’s hard to know exactly how much it has saved me with gas prices going up and up but my house is certainly so much warmer than it was. The seals are also so much tighter on the patio doors, I no longer have to worry about little creepy crawlies getting through the rotten wood, I haven’t seen one of the little buggers since!
The door is absolutely wonderful – within half an hour I had neighbours admiring it and asking where I got it from. The old door was so draughty and the wood had definitely seen better days but my composite door is stunning and is definitely going to last me a lifetime!
